IntelBrief (“IntelBrief,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a competitive intelligence service operated by Caden Fenn, an individual doing business as IntelBrief, based in Utah, USA. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our service at intel-brief.com (the “Service”).
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and a hashed password (or, if you use Google Sign-In, your name, email, and Google profile picture as provided by Google OAuth).
Competitor URLs. You provide URLs of competitor websites you want monitored. We store these to run scans on your behalf.
Company information. If you choose to tell us about your own company (name, website, what you sell, who you sell to, and social account handles), we store it and read your website's homepage and pricing page once to personalize the recommendations in your emails. You can change or clear it anytime in Settings.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number or CVV. Stripe provides us with a tokenized payment method and basic billing details (e.g., last 4 digits, expiry).
Usage data. We log basic usage information such as scan timestamps, token usage, and error events to operate and improve the Service.
Website analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views on our website (such as which pages are visited, the referring site, and general device and country information). It does not use cookies and does not identify you personally.
Advertising measurement (Meta Pixel). On our public website and signup pages, we use the Meta Pixel and Meta’s Conversions API to measure whether our Facebook and Instagram ads lead to sign-ups and purchases. This sends Meta the page you viewed, your browser and device details, Meta cookies, and, when you sign up or subscribe, a scrambled (hashed) copy of your email address and account ID along with the step you completed (sign-up, checkout started, or first payment). It never runs inside your logged-in dashboard. We use Meta’s Limited Data Use setting, and we do not run it for visitors whose browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal or who are in Europe. We also keep the ad or link that first brought you to our site with your account. You can turn ad measurement off for this browser here, or email support@intel-brief.com to opt out.
AI chat questions. If you use the AI prediction chat, we send your questions to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate the answers. We save your chat questions and answers on our servers so you can reopen past chats later. Only you can see them in the app. You can delete any saved chat from the chat panel, and they are deleted automatically when you remove that competitor or your account is deleted.
Communications. If you contact us by email, we retain that correspondence to respond to your inquiry.
We use the information we collect to:
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share limited website activity with Meta only to measure our own ads, as described above, and you can opt out at any time. We do not use your data to train AI models.
If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google as part of the OAuth flow. We use this information solely to create and authenticate your IntelBrief account. We do not access your Google Drive, Gmail, calendar, contacts, or any other Google services.
You can revoke IntelBrief’s access to your Google account at any time via your Google Account permissions.

We retain your account data and scan history for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription and request deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or accounting purposes.

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access-controlled database infrastructure provided by Supabase. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.
IntelBrief is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice in the dashboard. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects when changes were last made. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
